Karin Öberg

Assistant Professor of Astronomy

Research Interests: Astrochemistry, i.e., the chemical evolution during star and planet formation, the effects of chemistry on the properties of forming planets, including their prebiotic potential, and the development of chemical probes of protostellar and protoplanetary environments. These questions are addressed using a combination of laboratory ice experiments and spatially and spectrally resolved observations.
