#  Professor David Charbonneau wins the Sackler Prize

[Dave Charbonneau](/people/david-charbonneau) has won the [Sackler Prize](http://www2.tau.ac.il/news/engnew.asp) in Physics for 2012. This award recognizes Dave's seminal contributions to our understanding of extra-solar planets. The award will be presented at a ceremony in Tel Aviv on June 12th. Dave shares the award with Sara Seager, who completed her Ph.D. here with Dimitar Sasselov in 1999.
