Spotlight: Ioana Zelko

Ioana Zelko

Ioana Zelko is a PhD student working with Doug Finkbeiner on properties of interstellar dust and its effects on Cosmic Microwave Background spectral distortions. In addition to her research, Ioana does volunteer work for astronomy outreach with the United States Astronomy and Astrophysics Organization (www.usaaao.org). She has served as a coach and team leader for the high school students who participate in the International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics for three years. She focuses on the growth of the organization as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of USAAAO.
