#  Arturo Avelino coming to Harvard as the first-ever recipient in the Harvard-Mexico Postdoctoral Program

[Arturo Avelino](http://fisica.ugto.mx/~supercuerdas/miembros/avelino.html) will be coming to Harvard from the University of Guanajuato in October as the first ever recipient of the [Harvard-Mexico Postdoc Program](http://www.conacyt.gob.mx/FormacionCapitalHumano/EstanciasPosdotoralesySabaticasExtranjero/Documents/harvard_version_ingles.pdf). He will work with Professor Robert Kirshner on learning the nature of the dark energy from observations of Type Ia supernovae combined with other cosmological probes. The Harvard-Mexico fellowship is available to Mexican scientists who have completed their PhD and make a commitment to return to Mexico at the end of their fellowship.
