Arturo Avelino coming to Harvard as the first-ever recipient in the Harvard-Mexico Postdoctoral Program

Arturo Avelino will be coming to Harvard from the University of Guanajuato in October as the first ever recipient of the Harvard-Mexico Postdoc Program. He will work with Professor Robert Kirshner on learning the nature of the dark energy from observations of Type Ia supernovae combined with other cosmological probes. The Harvard-Mexico fellowship is available to Mexican scientists who have completed their PhD and make a commitment to return to Mexico at the end of their fellowship.
