My research revolves around the ISM, properties of molecular clouds, and the statistical methods required to probe them. I am especially interested in the 3D distribution of interstellar dust, the dynamics of molecular clouds, and hierarchical Bayesian models with millions or billions of parameters. I also enjoy working on the computational aspects of problems in astrophysical imaging and I am a core developer of the python package NIFTy, a high dimensional Bayesian imaging toolkit.
