Kim-Vy Tran
Associate Director for Internal Relations, CfA
Research Interests: Galaxy formation and evolution; Strong gravitational lensing; Extragalactic surveys; Cosmology; Space-based observations
Kim-Vy Tran has been a professional astronomer for 20+ years. Prior to joining the CfA, she was a professor at the University of New South Wales, University of Zürich, and Texas A&M University. She received her PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics from the UCSC and held postdoctoral fellowships at the CfA, at Leiden Observatory, and at ETH Zürich. Kim-Vy's astronomy research program advances our knowledge of how galaxies assemble over cosmic time by capitalizing on the high resolution, extreme sensitivity, and broad wavelength coverage of ground and space-based telescopes.
