Harvard Astronomy grad Sophia Ridolfo was awarded a Chambliss Astronomy Achievement Award Honorable Mention for her AAS247 poster research presentation (https://aas.org/posts/news/2026/01/congratulations-aas-247-chambliss-student-award-winners). Sophia was awarded for her graduate research titled "The Impact of Temperature Fluctuations on Direct and Strong-Line Gas-Phase Metallicity Diagnostics in Spatially Resolved HII Regions", advised by Lisa Kewley. AAS noted there were over 480 students who entered in the competition, with 25 winners and 21 honorable mentions recipients across both undergraduates and graduates.
