At the department's 2014 Awards Ceremony, Rita Fireman awarded two graduating students with the Fireman Fellowship, given each year in honor of her husband.  This year's awards were given to Wen-fai Fong and Nathan Sanders.  The picture features the two awardees with Rita Fireman,  Irwin Shapiro, who was Director of the CfA at the time the Fellowship was first established, and her son Gary Fireman,.
