Grad student Sophia Sánchez-Maes was awarded the “Best Paper Prize” at SPIE conference

Sophia Sánchez-Maes was awarded the “Best Paper Prize” at SPIE Astronomical Telescopes and Instrumentation this week in Yokohama Japan for the conference section “X-ray, Optical, and Infrared Detectors for Astronomy”. This prize is awarded to the best work by an early career individual and was decided on the basis of her oral presentation for her SPIE Proceedings paper “SSAXI-Rocket Back Illuminated CMOS Sensors”.
