On Thursday, February 2^nd, Dr. Michael Dee will speak on “Solar Storms, Tree Rings and Astrochronology: New Radiocarbon Research from Oxford” from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm in CGIS South Room S250, 1730 Cambridge Street, Cambridge.  Dr. Dee is currently at the Centre for Isotope Research, University of Groningen, The Netherlands, and recently completed a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at the University of Oxford / Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit.  The workshop will be chaired by Noreen Tuross, Landon T. Clay Professor of Scientific Archaeology, Department of Human Evolutionary Biology, Harvard University, with comments by Douglas J. Kennett, Professor of Environmental Archaeology, Pennsylvania State University; Irwin Shapiro, Timken University Professor, Department of Astronomy, Harvard University; and Christian Alexander Tryon, Assistant Professor, Department of Anthropology, Harvard University.  Further information for this interdisciplinary workshop is attached.
